An Arthog man has been handed a 90 day alcohol ban by magistrates as part of a community order imposed for assaulting and resisting a police officer.
Robert Jones, of Tyddyn Sieffre, appeared for sentencing before Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on 4 August.
The 60-year-old had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing before Caernarfon magistrates on 17 July to assaulting a police constable in Arthog on 2 July this year.
Jones also admitted a separate charge of resisting a police officer.
Magistrates handed Jones a 12 month community order to include 90 days of alcohol abstinence and monitoring.
He was also ordered to pay £60 compensation to the police officer.
Jones must also pay prosecution costs of £85.
