A CARDIGAN man accused of rape has been bailed to appear in Swansea Crown Court.

John Lewis Davies, 63, of Pantgwyn farm, Llangoedmor, appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates charged with raping a woman last year.

The case was sent to Swansea Crown Court with a hearing scheduled for 21 April.

Davies was granted unconditional bail.
