A CARDIGAN man has been fined after being caught driving without insurance.

Frederick John Nicholls, of 4 Teifi Terrace, St Dogmaels Road, was stopped by police just after midnight on 17 June last year on St Dogmaels Road in Cardigan, Llanelli magistrates heard on 10 January.

Nicholls, 61, was behind the wheel of a Ford Mondeo when there was no insurance in force.

He was fined £660 and handed six penalty points.

He must also pay £90 costs and a surcharge of £26.
