A pensioner charged with murdering a woman on Christmas Day in Fairbourne has appeared in court.

Thomas Bryan, 75, has been charged with the murder of Vivienne Bryan, 74.

He appeared before Llandudno magistrates on Monday, 30 December, and then by video link before Mold Crown on New Year’s Eve, when the judge adjourned the case until March, when a plea will be entered.

Bryan, of Francis Avenue, appeared before magistrates for a short hearing, when the prosecution said the case could only be dealt with at crown court. The case was adjourned until the following day at Mold Crown Court.

Following that hearing, Mr Bryan, who spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and nationality, was remanded in custody.

Bryan will appear there again on Friday, 20 March.
