A MACHYNLLETH man has been given a community order for carrying a hatchet in a public place.
James Indi, of Milkbar Flats, 17-19 Penrallt Street, pleaded guilty to possession of a hatchet on Penrallt Street on 13 July when he appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 13 September.
The 25-year-old was handed 10 days of rehabilitation activities as part of a community order.
Indi must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £114 surcharge to fund victim services.
