A Drefach Felindre man caught driving while using a mobile phone near Llandysul has been fined by magistrates.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on 5 August that Thomas Eirian James, of Llwyn Pur, was seen using a mobile phone while driving on the A484 at Saron on 9 April this year.

Magistrates handed James a fine of £300 and handed him six penalty points.

He must also pay £130 costs as well as a surcharge to fund victim services of £120.
