A Ffos-y-Ffin man has been handed a 12 month driving ban after admitting being behind the wheel with cannabis in his system.

James Moffat, of Spring House, Ffos y Ffin Village, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 10 August.

The court heard that the 44-year-old was stopped by police on the A486 at Ffostrasol on 14 April.

Tests showed he had cannabis in his system.

Moffat was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120.

He must also pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
