A former PCSO has avoided a jail term after admitting two charges of fraud that left community groups in Lampeter thousands of pounds out of pocket.
PCSO Ryan Jones served the community of Lampeter for over a decade and was in positions of trust with several local organisations.
Jones appeared at Swansea Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to two charges of fraud by abuse of a position and was sentenced to 20 months’ imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.
For reaction from the community groups affected by Jones’s crimes, see this week’s Cambrian News, in shops now or available as a digital edition
