A Harlech woman has been banned from the road for 18 months after pleading guilty to drug driving.

Nicole Collier, of 47 Y Waun, appeared before Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on 4 August.

The court heard that the 27-year-old was stopped while driving on Station Road in Barmouth on 10 February this year.

Roadside wipes and later laboratory testing showed that Collier had both cannabis and benzoylecgonine – the major metabolite of cocaine – in her blood exceeding the specified limit.

Magistrates disqualified Collier from driving for 18 months and handed her a community order to include 80 hours of unpaid work.

She must also pay prosecution costs of £85 as well as a surcharge to fund victim services of £114.
