A Lampeter woman caught driving at 51mph in a 20mph zone in Carmarthenshire has been banned from the road for 55 days.

Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court heard on 21 October that Emma Malpas, of 10 Dol Dalis, was clocked by police laser driving a Golf GTD TDI Blueline at 51mph in a 20mph zone of the A485 at Gwyddgrug in Carmarthenshire on 27 April this year.

Magistrates disqualified Malpas from driving for 55 days and handed her a fine of £484.

She must also pay £120 costs and a £184 surcharge.
