A 52-year-old Cardigan man has today admitted a series of pornography offences including the possession for distribution of indecent images of children.

Colin Morgan, of Maes y Felin, appeared before Judge Paul Thomas at Swansea Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

But he entered pleas of guilty to four offences of possessing indecent images of children for show or distribution in 2014.

Morgan also admitted making indecent images of children but not for show or distribution in 2014.

He admitted a further offence of the simple possession of an unspecified number of child pornography images in 2014 and on the same date possessing images of extreme pornography depicting adults indulging in sexual acts with animals.

Ian Wright, prosecuting, said the images involved at least a dozen videos.

Janet Gedrych, the barrister representing Morgan, said he understood the seriousness of the offences.

Morgan will be sentenced on 8 April to allow a probation officer time to prepare a report into his background.

Judge Thomas granted Morgan bail meanwhile but warned him not to read anything into that as all sentencing options remained open to the court.
