A man has appeared in court charged with robbery of a teddy from the Royal Pier in Aberystwyth.

Christian Gervais, of Woodstock, Main Road, Easter Compton, Gloucestershire, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 2 September.

The 36-year-old is charged with the robbery of the Royal Pier of a soft toy teddy on 2 June this year.

No plea was entered to the charge.

Gervais is next due to appear before Swansea Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 2 October.

He was remanded on conditional bail by magistrates until that date.
