A FAIRBOURNE man was refused bail after appearing in court accused of stalking a young mum through his Xbox.

Anthony Hancox, 27, is alleged to have caused the other online gamer – believed to be from Sussex - “serious alarm or distress” by harassing her involving an abusive or controlling voice or chat conversations and indecent images and texts.

The internet communication was said to have been through Xbox Live on the popular shooter, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” and by the chat application “Kik”.

Hancox denied the offence. Magistrates at Llandudno remanded him in custody to appear at Caernarfon crown court next month.

Defence solicitor Chris Dawson said he received benefit because of a medical condition, and sought bail.

But prosecutor Tracey Willingham applied for a remand in custody.
