A LLANILAR man has been remanded in custody ahead of being sentenced for burglary and stealing a vehicle.

Jimmy Green, of Gwynant, was already due to appear in Swansea Crown Court on 29 August to be sentenced for other charges, including burglary, which he has previously entered guilty pleas to.

New charges were brought before Aberystwyth magistrates early, with Green, 26, pleading guilty to two charges of burglary, taking a vehicle without consent and driving without a driving licence.

He admitted burglary at 6 Edgehill Road, where a handbag and make-up bag were stolen, and burglary at Tynygongle in Caradog Road, where keys for a Peugeot Xpert van were stolen.

Green pleaded guilty to taking the van without consent and driving other than in accordance with a driving licence.

Magistrates remanded Green in custody until the sentencing hearing on Tuesday, 29 August.
