A man has admitted murdering a ‘loving father’ in Cardigan earlier this year.

Earlier today, Ashley Keegan, 22, appeared before Swansea Crown Court and pleaded guilty to the murder of 37-year-old father John Bell in July.

Mr Bell, who has been described as a ‘loving and devoted son, brother, father and uncle’ by his family, was stabbed seven times in the back and was found on the road leading to Cardigan bridge in the early hours of Wednesday, 21 July.

Keegan, of Golwg y Castell in Cardigan, pleaded guilty this morning and was remanded in custody.

He is due to be sentenced on 10 December.
