A man has been fined after admitting outraging public decency by urinating in the doorway of an Aberystwyth bank in full view of staff and members of the public while drunk.

Peter Martin Collins, of Y Bryn, St Johns Hill, Barmouth, was in Aberystwyth town centre in an “intoxicated state” on 9 December last year when he urinated in the doorway of Halifax Bank, Caernarfon magistrates heard last week.

Collins, 51, was already the subject of a community protection notice for similar offences.

Collins also pleaded guilty to a theft of a bottle of Cockburn port from the Tesco Express store in Aberystwyth on 27 November and attempted thefts of a bottle of Martini and Cockburn port on 28 and 29 November respectively from the same shop.

Collins was fined £40 and ordered to pay compensation of £13.
