A Comins Coch man threatened to “stab and shoot” an Aberystwyth doorman after he was refused entry to a nightclub.
Daniel Craig Grigsby, of 3 Brongwinau, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and possession of cannabis after the incident at Pier Pressure in the early hours of 18 August, although magistrates heard that Grigsby did not accept that he made the threat claimed.
Prosecutor Kevin Challinor said Grigsby had been refused admission to the club because of “suspicious behaviour”, but then shouted: “I’ll stab and shoot you” and made a shooting gesture toward him.
When police searched Grigsby after his arrest, they found he had a cannabis grinder and wrap of cannabis on him.
Mr Challinor said that Grigsby admitted to police that the cannabis was his, and also admitted his behaviour had been disorderly, but didn’t accept that he had been threatening or made the threat he was said to have.
Defence solicitor Katy Hanson said Grigsby accepted he had been drinking and this his behaviour “wasn’t what it should have been” and that he apologised for his behaviour.
Grigsby was fined £80 and will pay costs of £117.
