A LLECHRYD man told police where they could find cannabis in his car when he was approached by officers.

Dylan Savinelli, of 4 Nantcrymannau estate, Glannant, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis he was using to help with anxiety on New Year’s Eve.

Rhian Jones, prosecuting, said police had attended at the A484 at Llechryd and while speaking to Savinelli, 29, he told them they would find cannabis in a glasses case under the driver’s seat. A search found the case which contained 3.2 grammes of cannabis, which Savinelli admitted was his.

Alan Lewis, defending Savinelli, said Savinelli had fully cooperated with the police and admitted the cannabis was his.

He said at the time Savinelli had been using it to help with anxiety, but things had improved since then and he wasn’t using cannabis.

Savinelli was fined £175 and will pay costs of £115.
