The son of well-known Minffordd businessman Dafydd Thomas has appeared in court accused of his murder.

Tony Thomas, 44, of Maes Y Garth, Minffordd, is charged with murdering his father, Dafydd, on Thursday, March 25 at Penrhyn Isaf, Minffordd.

Dafydd was the managing director of Gwynedd Environmental Waste Services Ltd in Penrhyndeudraeth.

Tony Thomas appeared at Llandudno Magistrates court earlier today.

He did not enter a plea.

The case has been sent to Mold Crown Court to be heard tomorrow and Thomas was remanded in custody.
