A CWMANN teenager has been fined by magistrates after admitting driving at almost twice the speed limit through the village.

Daniel Davies, of Tremle, Treherbert Street, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on 5 April.

The court heard he was clocked by police laser travelling at 57mph on the 30mph limit A485 at Cwmannin a Peugeot 208 on 12 November last year.

The 18-year-old was fined £300 and handed six penalty points.

He must also pay costs of £110 and a surcharge of £120.
