Police investigating a report of a Boxing Day burglary at CK’s supermarket in Pontwelly have charged three men.

A quantity of alcohol is said to have been stolen from the store at around 6am.

After a car was found burnt out in the Pencader area, police made enquiries and arrested three men at a local property on suspicion of burglary, arson and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

Daniel Ian Rogers, 32, from Maescader, Pencader; Mark Ion, 47, from Scotchwell View, Haverfordwest; and Steven David McHugh, 42, from Larch Road, Milford Haven, have been charged with burglary.

At Llanelli Magistrates Court the three men were remanded in custody until a hearing in Swansea Crown Court on 25 January.

No pleas were entered.

Anyone who saw a silver car travelling around Llandysul and Pencader between 6am and 8am on 26 December is asked to contact police on 101.
