A TRE'R Ddol man has been fined by magistrates after being caught using a mobile phone while driving.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on 5 April that William Einion Jenkins, of Ynysgrigog, was caught driving a Volkswagen Golf while using a mobile phone on Great Darkgate Street in Aberystwyth on 16 October last year.

Magistrates fined the 58-year-old £220 and endorsed his licence with six points.

He must also pay £90 costs and an £88 surcharge.
