THREE men arrested following the assault of a well-known Hinterland actor outside an Aberystwyth pub in July are due to answer bail in December.
It was reported exclusively in the Cambrian News that Aneirin Hughes, 58, who plays Chief Superintendent Brian Prosser in the internationally acclaimed series, which is set and filmed in Aberystwyth and the surrounding area, was assaulted outside Rummers Wine Bar, Bridge Street, in the early hours of Sunday, 10 July.
Three men, aged 51, 23 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of assault, and another 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
The Cambrian News now understands that no further action is being taken against the 21-year-old male, while the other three are due to answer bail on 10 December.
Mr Hughes, who has acted in several other popular TV shows, including Eastenders, Pobol y Cwm, Judge John Deed, Spooks, and Doctors, was left with facial injuries following the attack.
Hinterland returns to S4C on Sunday, 30 October.
