A woman threatened to stab her husband and jabbed a knife at him in an argument that “got out of hand”, a court has heard.
Mandy Linda Rose Evans, 46, pleaded guilty to assault by threats of her husband George Evans at their Llechryd home on 2 January.
Magistrates heard that an argument between the two had escalated until Evans was brandishing a knife.
Prosecutor Helen Tench said Mr Evans reported the incident to the police saying that he had been at their home to get a bank card when an argument began.
Evans started shouting at him to give her the bank card, before she grabbed two knives and threatened to stab him.
Ms Tench said Evans then pushed her husband up against a wall before she jabbed the knife toward him, although he was not hurt in the incident.
Defence solicitor Lauren Bayley said Evans was “distraught” and regretted what had happened.
Ms Bayley said Evans and her husband wanted to reconcile but that Evans’s bail conditions had stopped her from returning home.
She is currently living at 2 Station Road in Cardigan.
The case was adjourned until 20 February to allow a report to be completed.
Evans was released on conditional bail.
