THE arranged speaker for the evening was unable to come at the last minute, but members were grateful and delighted to welcome Roger Adams once again. They were transported through Ffynonau Gardens and on to St David’s via his amazing photographic skills, poetic voice over and his empathic choice of background music, some of which was actually recorded during the St David’s Music Festival.

This was followed by a sumptuous supper before the competition for an animal ornament was judged. The entries were largely lighthearted, two of the winners being a stuffed, sleeping kitten in a basket and a metal cow with swinging mobile appendages!
