Now that Brexit has arrived on our shores, I would very much welcome some words of guidance from their most avid advocates on a couple of issues.
Having been informed of the severe consequences following the event, all I can hear is a deafening silence in response to the concerns and difficulties faced by small and medium-sized businesses trying to export goods to the EU countries since January the first 2021.
To quote one example, a local manufacturer who produces a very popular brand of dog food has faced severe frustration by restrictions and red tape which has made the formerly simple task of shipping his product to EU countries turn into a nightmare.
All this is just not good enough, with a global pandemic restricting movements and hitting businesses, it is imperative that all local businesses are not handcuffed in this way.
Wales needs businesses similar to the above, we need to gain trade and contracts and we also need to support all homegrown entrepreneurs.
If we are to become a viable entity, providing much-needed jobs along the way then we must act now and not waste valuable time dilly dallying.Tomorrow will be too late!
