Madam,
Well, it looks like we have new laws coming in with regard to minimum standards required for rubbish and recycling collections.
It’s about time ministers, with their supposedly higher knowledge, realised the whole system of dealing with rubbish needs desperate measures to put right.
It is a shame that this wasn’t sorted before the turmoil over collections that we have all had to endure.
This has been terribly frustrating for all, especially people with large families.
For the councils to bring these measures of rubbish removal in, without it being thoroughly researched, is a very worrying thing.
Indeed the public’s health depends on refuse removal being done right.
The saying that cleanliness is next to Godliness is true here. Our world does depend on how clean we keep it.
And these laws need to be made by the highest orders, not by people who firstly want to save money.
Yours etc, Jean Miles, Harlech.
