Do any of your readers have a twist on Britain’s fascination with genealogy?

I am researching families with the dark secret of having a criminal in the family tree.

It could be a man or woman who ended up in gaol through no fault of his or her own. Or a highwayman, a killer or someone transported for stealing bread.

There are many stories of sadness, crime and hardship out there.

I am part of a television team planning to tell these untold stories of real social and crime history for a high quality and informative new series.
