HARVEY Davies (piano), founder of the Manchester-based Pleyel Ensemble, returns on Friday, 5 February to Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor at 7.30pm,with his brother Laurence (French horn) and Sarah Ewins (violin) to present highlights of the horn trio repertoire — notably trios by Brahms and Lennox Berkeley.

There will also be duo sonatas by Mozart and Franz Strauss. Laurence is Principal Horn of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Sarah Associate Leader of the Hallé.

Harvey’s calibre as an accompanist is well known.
