Madam,
I see that Tywyn has been dealt yet another blow after having received a letter informing me of the closure of the Tywyn branch of HSBC in September.
I am sorry but I am frankly scornful of HSBC and their arguments that the branch in Tywyn is not well used.
Many people bank at the Tywyn branch, both local day-to-day customers and owners of local shops who pay in cash. This is just another example of the contempt HSBC has for small towns like Tywyn. We lost the NatWest bank last September and Royal Mail closed their Tywyn sorting office and relocated to Machynlleth.

Big banking giants like HSBC and NatWest don’t care at all about small towns like Tywyn as they have already closed so many banks already in north and mid Wales.
HSBC show no loyalty to their customers so why should we show any to them?
Yours etc,
