EMERGENCY services were called to a Machynlleth petrol station after a double decker bus hit the station’s canopy roof, forcing it to close temporarily.
The Midcounties Co-op Fuel Station was closed after the incident, which took place at around 9.30am on Saturday. Safety checks were carried out before it reopened in the early afternoon.
The Lloyds Coaches bus, which was not carrying passengers at the time, was moved from the forecourt shortly after 11am to allow checks to the canopy to be carried out.
Both the police and fire brigade attended the incident, which did not lead to any injuries.
