PUPILS from Aberystwyth’s Ysgol Penweddig and Penglais schools picked up their GCSE results on Thursday.

At Penglais School in Aberystwyth, headteacher Mair Hughes said there was a “lot to celebrate”, with three students gaining the maximum 10 A*s in their exams.

At Aberystwyth’s Ysgol Penweddig, headteacher Gwenallt Llwyd Ifan praised the “outstanding results” for the school’s GCSE pupils for being “amongst the best in Wales”.
