Ysgol Uwchradd Tywyn headteacher Helen Lewis welcomed parents and pupils to its prize and praisegiving event.
This year, instead of cash rewards, prizes from local businesses were chosen as the school considers it important to return the support the community gives to them.
The prizes were either Brighter Food Ice Cream vouchers, Magic Lantern cinema tickets or, for pupils with the best GCSEs, commemorative mugs from Genesis as a reminder of their experiences and good times in school.
Sporting achievements were recognised, including the Wales U16s National Hockey Champions team. Other hockey successes included Ela Pugh, who was the only girl in north Wales selected to play for Wales in the EuroHockey 5s U16s team.
