Friends of Plascrug School enjoyed tasting food from around the world at the school’s 17th annual International Evening.

Every year, Plascrug celebrates the international diversity of the school by inviting parents to make and share food from their culture.

There were only eight countries represented in the first International Evening in 2002 and this year there were 18.

A school spokesperson said: “Plascrug is a truly multi-cultural school with families from over 35 countries.

"As a pioneer school for health and wellbeing in the new curriculum, and a partner in an Erasmus+ project working with schools in Finland, Spain, Germany and Sweden, International Dimensions is at the heart of the school ethos.

"The recent successful reaccreditation of the prestigious British Council International Schools Award is testimony of this. Assessors commented that ‘Plascrug is an international school in every respect’.”
