A MACHYNLLETH pub landlord has presented a cheque for £600 to the town’s primary campus to spend on outdoor learning.

The Ysgol Bro Hyddgen primary campus Parent Teacher Association said it was delighted to receive the £600 donation from Alan Murphy, of the White Lion Hotel.

The money was raised during the White Lion’s annual Machbeerfest, which is held over each spring bank holiday and sees local bands and poets perform for charity.

Suzanne Galant, of the PTA, said: “We are extremely grateful for the financial contribution we have received from the bands and poets’ charitable endeavours during the festival.

“We look forward to using the money to support the outdoor learning experience of all the children at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen’s primary campus.”
