SCHOOLCHILDREN from the Llyn Peninsula have visited the capital to learn more about local democracy.

Year 5 and 6 children from Ysgol Llanystumdwy met with Dwyfor Meirionnydd AM, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas during a visit to the Senedd on Cardiff Bay.

The children learnt about how members of the Senedd discuss important issues and make decisions which affect the whole of Wales.

“They’ve had a very busy three days in the capital city and thoroughly enjoyed themselves,” said head teacher Cathryn Davey.
