CEREDIGION Youth Service teamed up with Ceredigion Training for a second successive year to provide free workshops and taster sessions for young people aged 16 to 24 who were or are at risk of becoming a NEET.
NEET stands for Not in Education, Employment and/or Training, and a wide variety of vocations were involved in the project including mechanics, plumbing, carpentry, hairdressing, beauty therapy, ICT and more.
Many of the participants continued with the course which concluded in a three-day residential to Elan Valley where they undertook further career preparation, teambuilding and outdoor activities.
A total of 40 young people attended with well over 20 of them achieving at least one accreditation with some having completed two out of three individual Agored Cymru Courses.
