On Saturday, 15 August, 130 members of Ceredigion Federation of Women’s Institutes (WI) visited Aberystwyth Arts Centre to watch ‘Calendar Girls: The Musical’, based on the WI.

A federation spokesperson praised the show and arts centre staff.

“After weeks of planning with Mel Hughes and the team from Aberystwyth Arts Centre, we all enjoyed a lovely afternoon with ice cream and cream team, supplied by the amazing staff,” the spokesperson said.

“The decoration of the event was lovely and we also got to meet members of the cast which was a lovely surprise.

“We all came away with a smile and would like to thank the wonderful staff of the arts centre, and also congratulate the director and cast of ‘Calendar Girls’ for putting on such a moving and entertaining show.

“We are so lucky to have such a facility on our doorstep.

“If you haven’t been to see this yet what are you waiting for; highly recommended.”
