Following their successful opening concert with Pedair on Friday, 2 October, the 2026-27 programme continues at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor at 7.30pm on Friday, 30 October with a song recital by Anusha Merrin (soprano) and Iwan Owen (piano).

A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Indian soprano Anusha Merrin completed both a postgraduate diploma and an MMus in Vocal Studies and Opera with distinction. Iwan appeared at the club as accompanist and soloist in a memorable 2023 concert with Khrystyna Makar, and was awarded a Pianist Prize at the 2025 Ashburnham English Song Awards.

His programme with Anusha will take us ‘From Dusk to Dawn’, via songs by Mozart, Fauré, Strauss, Frank Bridge and others; it will also include piano solos by Chopin and Debussy. Full texts and translations of the songs will be provided.

This promises to be every bit as enjoyable as the similar format programme of three years ago, giving both performers scope for the full range of their talents.
