A film based on the famous Gwynedd bard, Hedd Wyn, has been nominated for an award.

John Parr’s ‘A Pack of Five’ has been nominated for the London Art Film Awards 2026.

The film has been shown to great acclaim in Hedd Wyn’s home, The Ysgwrn, where it was filmed, in Wrexham Library during last year’s Eisteddfod and at London’s notable Victory Services Club.

‘A Pack of Five’ is nominated in the short film category.

The award ceremony will take place at Genesis Cinema in Bethnal Green, London, on Friday, 23 October.

The film, written and directed by John Parr, also features contributions from winning bards, Alan Llwyd and Ceri Wyn Jones, the Treorchy Male Voice Choir and the Harry Secombe Youth Musical Theatre Company.
