The female lynx, called Lilleth, escaped from Borth Wild Animal Kingdom sometime last week.
Police, who were informed about the escape on Sunday, have set up a special unit in Borth and have been using the force helicopter to try to find it.
The last confirmed sighting of it was on a hill near the zoo on Sunday but it was still at large today.
A police spokesman said: "Efforts to capture a lynx which has escaped from the Animalarium in Borth are continuing again today.
"It is believed the animal remains in the area close to the zoo and Dyfed-Powys Police reiterate their request that people do not attend the area to give the experts on scene the best chance of safely capturing the animal as soon as possible.
"The public are reminded to ensure any livestock or pets are kept away from the area and anyone who believes they have seen the lynx is asked to contact police on 101."
