A PORTHMADOG mum has spoken of her pride after her eight-month-old daughter wowed judges at a beauty pageant over the weekend.
Shannon Morris and little Everleigh took part in the UK heats of the PURE international beauty pageant on Saturday night.
Although competing against children of two and three years old, Everleigh impressed the judges and ended up being crowned the winner.
She will now be heading to Florida in June where she will represent the UK in the global competition.
Speaking after her success over the weekend, mum Shannon said: “I’m so proud as a lot of people watched the live stream and were watching the pageant in person and all complimented on how she was so natural and smiley on stage.”
Everleigh faced stiff competition with a total 58 contestants from all over the UK competing.
Shannon added: “As she was against the two and three year olds that were walking unaided, I didn’t think she would win but she did!
“There was the two main rounds which were party wear and evening wear and then she competed in the optional rounds of best portfolio and runway model (she also won best portfolio).
“She has the opportunity to fly out to Florida in June to compete against contestants from all over the world.”
