THE family of a terminally-ill 25-year-old has asked the community to help fulfil his ‘wish list’.
Next month a charity concert will take place in Y Ganolfan, Porthmadog, in honour of Osian Glyn Jones, of Penrhyndeudraeth.
Osian has been unwell for a number of years but received the devastating diagnosis last November that he has a terminal brain tumour which will significantly shorten his life.
In spite of this tragic news, Osian is determined to make the most of his remaining time and has set out a list of wishes he hopes to fulfill.
The former Ysgol Ardudwy pupil, who was working in Cardiff before he returned home two years ago, has already visited Iceland, attended Welsh international games and witnessed megastar Ed Sheeran live in concert last weekend.
His family now hopes to raise enough funds to send Osian and his extended family on a nostalgic trip to south Wales where they spent their summers years ago in a holiday park.
To raise the requisite funds, Rhian Jones, who is cousin to Osian’s mum Nia, has organised a stellar show in Porthmadog featuring world-class singers Rhys Meirion and Sian Gibson, who will be supported on the day by Côr Meibion Dwyfor, Aelwyd Chwilog, Ysgol Eifion Wyn and Ysgol Cefn Coch.
If you would like to sponsor ‘Osian’s Concert’, or donate to his fund, please contact Rhian on 07909 902022 or 01766 514980 or by e-mailing [email protected]
