An Aberystwyth teenager who passed away following a car collision near Comins Coch on Saturday night has been hailed as "bright" and "vibrant".
Eighteen-year-old Ellie Bryan, a former Penglais School pupil, sadly passed away on Sunday morning, 17 November, in hospital after she suffered injuries in a crash that happened at around 10pm on Saturday, 16 November.
In a statement, Ellie’s family thanked people for their support following the tragic incident.
They said: "We are distraught by our loss of Ellie. She will be missed by us all.
"Ellie was a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter.
"We would like to thank everyone for their support at this devastating time.
"We would appreciate having time to grieve in privacy."
A police spokesperson said Ellie had been a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra involved in the incident which saw other casualties taken to hospital.
They said: "The collision involved two vehicles - a black Vauxhall Astra, which was travelling out of Aberystwyth heading towards the general direction of Bow Street, and a silver Audi A6.
"Sadly, an 18-year-old sustained fatal injuries and passed away at hospital.
"She was a passenger in the Vauxhall Astra.
"Several casualties were also taken to hospital with serious injuries."
The driver of the Astra is still in hospital in a critical condition.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
