Re: last week’s letters page, in Jean Miles’ contribution regarding the restrictions on English tourists being able to ”come to Wales for Easter”, it is the government on the England side of the border that has ruled against citizens of that country from travelling to Wales for Easter as a consequence of their Covid-19 restrictions.
It is not that I agree with everything that our Labour Government does, but on the issue of controlling the spread of Covid-19 amongst our people we have to admit that they have made a far better job of it than what has occurred over the border. By the way I am saying this despite the fact I am standing in the Senedd elections as the Llais Gwynedd/Voice of Gwynedd candidate for Dwyfor Meirionnydd.
Hopefully the other candidates will observe the same protocol i.e.when those at present in power perform well on any given issue, then they should be commended for their efforts not castigated.
Cllr Glyn Daniels Blaenau Ffestiniog Senedd candidate for Dwyfor Meirionnydd
