Aberaeron fashion boutique Steil has raised £1,750 for Breast Cancer Care Cymru.

The funds were raised by co-owner Meinir Bowen and the Steil team hosting two glittering fashion shows at the Castle Hotel in Aberaeron.

The shows were televised on S4C and hosted by Yvonne Evans, Y Tywydd TV weather presenter, and have now become an established event in the town’s social calendar.

The Steil team handed the cheque over when they travelled to Cardiff to take part in the Welsh-language summer festival Tafwyl, held at Cardiff Castle, where Steil hosted a pop-up boutique.

Gudrun Allsobrook, fund-raising executive at Breast Cancer Care Cymru, said: “We’re so grateful to Meinir and the Steil team for organising these amazing events and raising such a fantastic amount.

“The money raised will help Breast Cancer Care Cymru to continue to provide free services including; support over the phone with a nurse or someone who’s been there, welcoming online forums, reliable information and publications and local group support.”
