A POPULAR Aberdyfi firefighter is hanging up his uniform after 32 years of service.
Keith Hiatt, a well-known entrepreneur in the coastal village, has served his community as a retained firefighter since 1983.
Apart from a few hours a week for training sessions and to carry out other pre-arranged duties, retained firefighters only attend the fire station when they have received an emergency callout.
Mr Hiatt, 61, first signed up on 14 November 1983 and retired on 14 November this year.
During that time, he was promoted to watch manager for the Aberdyfi Fire Station.
He has fond memories of his time with the service.
“It has been a privilege and a pleasure to serve the community for all these years ,” said Mr Hiatt.
