A BRIDE and groom who asked for charity donations instead of wedding gifts, raised a massive £2,565 for Wales Air Ambulance.

Nia and Gaff Jones, of Llanbedr and Talybont respectively, said they felt it was an important charity, and you never know when you might need it.

Nia said: “We would like to thank everyone who attended our wedding party and all who donated money to the Wales Air Ambulance charity.

We raised an amazing £2,565 which we delivered personally to the Welshpool air ambulance crew last weekend. They were overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity.”
