A LONG-TIME Llanidloes firefighter has written a book of his memories of over 40 years in the job.

Bryn Thomas signed his new book Wherever Flames May Rage - memoirs of an on-call firefighter at the Great Oak Bookshop in Llanidloes.

Bryn served as an on-call firefighter in his local community of Llanidloes for 41 years. His book gives a unique insight into life as a firefighter, both for the individual and their families.

It describes all the emotions that go with the job, its dangers and excitement, the camaraderie, the humour and the sad times.
