Pictured are four men from the Pwllheli area, who completed the Ironman UK challenge in Bolton, presenting a cheque of £2,335.86 to Wales Air Ambulance Pen Llyn area fundraising co-ordinator Eryl Jones.

The four swam 2.4 miles, cycled 95 miles and ran 26.2 miles.

The rules meant that the challenge had to be completed within 17 hours, and the group managed to finish in a time between 11.5 and 14 hours.

They thanked Ysgol Abererch for their fundraising appeal as the school held a day where pupils wore their own clothes by paying a charge.
